Sustainability At Xbox: Introducing The Remix Special Edition Controller

Posted on

Our mission as Team Xbox is to bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet, but it’s critical we do so while taking care of the planet. Hear from the engineers and designers behind the latest innovation in hardware: Xbox Wireless Controller -- Remix Special Edition featuring recovered plastics with one-third of it made from regrind and reclaimed materials, and including the Xbox Rechargeable Battery + USB-C Cable so you can play without using disposable batteries.

The Remix Special Edition controller is just one step on our journey to use less new plastic and reduce waste in our products. Visit the new Xbox Sustainability Hub to learn more about our commitments and explore a collection of controllers that use less new plastics.

Regrind: a raw material made by recycling leftover Xbox One generation controller parts which can be partially used to create new controllers. Post-consumer recycled resins (PCR) are incorporated from reclaimed materials like automotive headlight covers, plastic water jugs, and CDs.
