The Limited Edition PowerColor RED DEVIL AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series graphics card will be available beginning December 13, 2022, featuring the first swappable Lava backplate. As the RED DEVIL emerged from lava, surrounded by rough and uneven rocks, RED DEVIL’s magical RGB makes its way onto the surface with stunning light effects.
The RED DEVIL limited edition also comes with a Devil Eye magnet that gamers can place on their case.
PowerColor has launched a limited edition Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB GDDR6 graphics card that has created a buzz among gamers. The RX 7900 XTX is built on AMD's latest RDNA 3 architecture, which is designed to provide an uncompromising gaming experience. The graphics card comes equipped with an upgraded triple ringed-fan cooling solution, high-quality PCB that comes with the 12+3+2+2+2 phase VRM design, and DrMOS with IMON real-time digital monitoring built-in to guarantee optimum cooling efficiency and stability while pushing to the limits.
One of the most noteworthy features of the Red Devil graphics card is its swappable backplate. Users can easily put on a new backplate and give their Red Devil a new look. The metal reinforced backplate strengthens and protects the internal components from PCB bend, while the cut-out design allows exhaust heat to properly flow through for heat-dissipation efficiency.
The RX 7900 XTX's triple ringed-fan cooling solution is designed to seize every victory in the game. A set of 8 x 6φ nickel-plated copper heatpipes align closely above the PCB to transfer heat from the GPU and VRAM to the cooling array more quickly and effectively. The new 9-blade design of the fans generates better airflow and air pressure under the same noise level, improving cooling performance to reduce GPU temperatures by more than 3℃ compared to previous generations. The graphics card comes equipped with Japanese dual ball bearings, which reduce rotational friction, providing excellent heat dissipation and effectively doubling the expected lifetime of the fans. The intelligent fan controller utilizes temperature detection from a smart chip, and fans start running when the GPU reaches 60℃ and shut down below 50℃.
The Red Devil RX 7900 XTX has a personalized ARGB lighting effect with adjustable front, side, and backplate ARGB through the PowerColor Devilzone RGB control software. The lighting effects can be customized to match the user's system aesthetic or mood. The Red Devil RGB can be synchronized with the motherboard using the ARGB cable included in the product, providing gamers with an immersive and coordinated environment while gaming.
One of the most noteworthy features of the graphics card is its dual BIOS mode. The Red Devil graphics cards come with two BIOS built-in and a switch for easy swapping. The OC BIOS is a boosted mode that increases fan RPM to keep the card operating at a lower temperature to drive higher performance. On the other hand, the Silent BIOS focuses on lower noise and fan longevity, trading fan speed and noise for moderate, but still controlled, temperatures while maintaining performance.
While the PowerColor Red Devil RX 7900 XTX graphics card has a lot of impressive features, it has its share of pros and cons. The following are some of the pros and cons of the graphics card:
