Monitor Packaging Reimagined- ZenScreen OLED Eco-Friendly Monitor Hood

Posted on

ASUS has introduced an innovative and eco-friendly monitor packaging solution that transforms into a reusable monitor hood. This feature provides a clearer, more accurate viewing experience by reducing the effects of surrounding lighting. Additionally, the new packaging solution reduces waste by reusing materials that would otherwise be discarded.

ASUS has released two OLED portable monitors in its ZenScreen series, the MQ16AH and MQ13AH. Both of these monitors boast a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Delta E less than 2 color difference, and HDR-10 support. They also feature a proximity sensor, ASUS Smart Case, and low blue light and flicker-free technology. However, there are some differences between these two monitors, including their size, resolution, and connectivity options.

Display

The ASUS ZenScreen OLED MQ16AH has a 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) OLED display, while the MQ13AH has a smaller 13.3-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) OLED display. Both monitors offer a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and Delta E less than 2 color difference, which means they can display colors with a high degree of accuracy. Additionally, the MQ16AH has a faster 1ms response time, which makes it better suited for gaming and other fast-paced activities.

Design and Connectivity

Both the MQ16AH and MQ13AH come with an ASUS Smart Case, which can be used to prop up the monitor in various positions. They also have an integral tripod socket, which allows for even more flexibility when it comes to positioning. In terms of connectivity, both monitors have a mini HDMI port and three USB Type-C ports, which are side-mounted for easier cable management. However, the MQ16AH has a larger screen, which means it also has a larger chassis.

Power Consumption

Both monitors feature a built-in proximity sensor, which dims the display when not in use to save power. However, the MQ13AH also has a feature that prevents image burn-in, which can occur when static images are displayed for extended periods of time. This feature is not present in the MQ16AH.

Conclusion

The ASUS ZenScreen OLED MQ16AH and MQ13AH are both excellent portable monitors with OLED displays that offer a high degree of color accuracy and HDR-10 support. The MQ16AH has a larger screen and faster response time, making it a better choice for gaming and other fast-paced activities. However, the MQ13AH has a feature that prevents image burn-in, which may be important for users who plan to display static images for extended periods of time. Ultimately, the choice between these two monitors will depend on the user's needs and preferences.
